There is a feeling stirring in many Christians that something significant is happening in the world right now. With the recent conflict in Israel and rumblings of the end times, many are questioning if this war will usher in the return of Jesus.
I have studied this extensively and want to provide some insight. This is not the final battle the Bible speaks about in Revelation. However, I believe recent events will ultimately lead to that battle. Here's why:
On September 20, 2020 the Abraham Accords peace treaty was signed between Israel and several Arab nations. The book of Daniel predicts the antichrist will confirm a peace covenant that will last for 7 years. I believe this treaty marked the beginning of the 7-year tribulation period. We are likely now 3 years into that timeframe.
This means we still have a few years before the final battle. However, in the meantime, the tribulation will intensify. The Bible promises that followers of Jesus will not experience God's wrath which will be poured out nearer to the end.
There is still hope in these difficult times. God wants us to understand the season we are in so we will not be deceived. He has placed His Holy Spirit in us as an inner witness to reveal truth.
My friends, we must stop passively waiting for end times events to unfold. The enemy is actively trying to make prophecy happen apart from God. As Christians we have the power to decree "Come, Lord Jesus" and usher in His return. Let's boldly do so, hastening the day of His coming.
Maranatha!
