Scoffer is his name- teasing is his game

Proverbs 14:6

“A scoffer seeks wisdom and does not find it….”

The term for “scoffer” here in the NKJV is translated as “scorner” in the KJV. It is the Hebrew word #3887- ‘luwts”… it refers to those people who mock. These people make fun of those who seek the Lord and who are trying to keep His precepts. They hold in no regard things that are morally pious by derision and poking fun at them. Thus, when they actually need wisdom {the Word of God out} they cannot find it. God and all of His attributes- or blessings as it were- are an interesting thing. When once a person hardens their heart to God or any of His provisions or teachings, the full and total hardness comes more fully and quickly. This is the law of humility and grace in action… meaning that if a person resists God {or anything provided by God} on any level, then they are, more and more, repelled by God. This is not a personal matter but a matter of law. The law that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. When someone mocks- or makes fun of the precepts of God, even if not in a loud or boisterous manner, they will find no wisdom. This further explains those who are of great intellect. Those who possess great natural intellect and understanding who attempt to “reason” out the nature and character of God or His blessings will not experience them on their own. If, however this same person lays down their natural mind by humbly seeking the Lord’s direction then they will receive supernatural wisdom- or the word of God in manifestation. It is not about intellect or IQ; it is about humility. Scoffing and Scorning reflect the prideful and arrogant heart- this is the cause for the fleeing away of the wisdom of God in the lives of those who scoff or scorn
