Luke 24:45
“And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the scriptures.”
One of the questions I have been asked many times over the years is how I understand the Bible so well. My answer is always the same, God made me understand it. When I was younger, although I was saved and baptized with the Holy Spirit, I could not, for the life of me understand the scriptures. Then one night I had a dream wherein an angel put salve on my eyes and since that day, I have looked at the Bible and been able to completely comprehend it. It has been a gift from God to say the least but it is not exclusively for me. You too can understand the scriptures as I do. The difference, usually though is that most people do not believe that they can understand the scriptures nor would they know what to do with that understanding. Beloved, let me encourage you that it is through the knowledge of the Holy one that we obtain all things pertaining to life and godliness that He has given us. {2 Peter 1:2-3} The Lord can and will open your understanding if you will but ask Him to so that you can comprehend the scriptures as He has already given to us the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God! {1 Corinthians 2:12}
