It's not my fault

Proverbs 30:20

"20 This [is] the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, And says, "I have done no wickedness.”

This verse can refer to anyone who is adulterous in any way, be it in a marriage or in committing adultery against God with idol worship. Most people who behave adulterously do not blame themselves for their own actions. There is always something or someone else to whom they attribute their own actions. Generally, they will suffer some sort of perceived loss at the hand of the other person or situation and use that as an excuse not to maintain relational integrity.
